Therapy for Professionals
We partner with professionals to support them through a range of difficulties they may be experiencing which can include:
- Confidence, feelings of not being good enough and a fear of failure
- Feeling like an imposter
- Moving through grief, loss and mourning
- A feeling of needing to constantly over perform in the workplace, yet never being recognized or rewarded
Experiencing these difficulties can lead to a stressful and unhappy work life, sometimes resulting in unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and placing constant pressure on yourself to be perfect. We understand the impact this can also have on your personal life, potentially leading to relationship breakdowns, self-medication with drugs or alcohol, feelings of anger and rage, overspending, not looking after your health, low libido and difficulties sleeping.
At Areale Counseling & Wellness, we partner with you to improve your mental health and emotional wellbeing, to enable you to achieve your goals, reach your potential and thrive – both at work and in your personal lives.
Our therapists understand the pressures and expectations of the corporate world and know the importance of providing a safe space for you to share your emotions without judgement or retaliation.
In your sessions, your psychotherapist will focus on your specific needs, build on your strengths and identify behavioral patterns that may need to be integrated or changed. Your sessions will help you become more self-aware and enable you to grow as an individual. Throughout our time together we will empower you with tools and techniques to help you create a life you want to live, full of confidence and self-love.
Our dynamic approach to therapy focuses on multilayered, multidimensionality and intersectionality of the individual personal and professional lived experiences, and current realities and challenges. We strive to pay careful attention to family dynamics, socio-cultural circumstances and your unique life goals and wellness needs. Psychodynamically, our work together may involve us looking at the unconscious psychological dynamics and complexes that may be at play in creating difficulty and emotional suffering in your life.

Our focus on depth psychology is to broaden the multicultural layers of understanding and working with the individual and collective unconscious in our dynamic work with individuals and couples of Africanist and multicultural, LGBTQI+ identities. We see Jung’s therapeutic ideas as relevant to our work as depth oriented therapists as it makes space for the multi-racial, multi-ethnic and multidimensional ways in which we as human beings experience and express ourselves in the world. We see the humanity and soul of the individual and emphasize freedom, individuation and psychological wholeness.
Carl Gustav Jung is the founder of Analytical and Jungian psychology. Jung believed that religious expression was manifested from the psyche’s yearning to balance both individual and collective states of consciousness and unconsciousness simultaneously. Jung surmised that the collective unconscious was shared by all people in every culture. The foundation for this theory was based on specific archetypes and patterns that dictate how people process psychic images. Jung’s work has been influential in psychiatry, anthropology, archaeology, art, literature, philosophy, psychology, and religious, archetypal studies. Jung believed that each person strives to achieve wholeness by attaining a harmony within consciousness and unconsciousness and that this can be accomplished through dream study.
